Okay, I take it back. Previously I had posted about having no snow and no winter. Well, we got dumped on last night, and of course I had gone to the bar. Upon exiting the bar, I helped a guy in a kilt find his class ring in the snow. As if that wasn’t bad enough, there were 3 rednecks who were all wearing the same plaid shirts (evidently it’s not considered fruity or gay for country boys to all wear the same thing; perhaps they called each other beforehand?).
I’m used to being called things like “Gandalf”, “Moses”, etc. because I walk with a 6 foot walking stick, but these guys started in on the kilt guy and myself, and recording our search on their cell phone. A couple of the girls started telling them that it wasn’t nice what they were doing, and that they should delete it and just go away. They didn’t, so I stood up and told them that they would have to provide release forms for all of us in order to be filming us (sounded good at the time, then again I was 3 sheets to the wind lol). After a small altercation, the Jim Bob Bros. tired of their game and left us. After about 15 minutes we found his ring, exchanged farewells, and I trudged home.
I woke this morning to Lady Diva calling me in to work; I had already expected it. Once I got outside, I saw that in order to get to the street, I had to shovel the sidewalk; it wouldn’t of been too much of a problem, except for the fact that out of three shovels that we own, two are broken, and the third is one of those damned metal ones that was so old its edge was worn down so that there is about 3/4 of the shovel left.
Sidewalk finished, I pushed through the snow, which evidently the city didn’t feel that the sidewalks needed to be plowed. I got smart and walked on the street. Once at work, I got to shovel again (Yay!). Sundays are usually slow anyways, but the streets are DEAD, for obvious reasons. After work, guess what I get to do; go home and shovel the driveway and get my girlfriend’s van out.
After that, I’m going straight to Wal-Mart and buying a snow scoop; screw these little shovels.

Since you have so much experience shoveling out, the next time it snows I’ll hire you to come and use your new snow scoop on my driveway.
