At first I was like “Hooray!”, but today it got me thinking. Who really is the terrorist in this whole Iraq mess? Bush keeps spouting about “the war on terror” and “cowardly acts of terror”, terror, terror, yadda yadda… but WHO is really the terrorist?
I mean, yes, 9/11 was a terrorist act for sure, and a despicable one at that, but imagine if a country much bigger and more powerful than the US were to come in, occupy us, and say “Your system of government is a threat to the safety and well being of the rest of the world; change it, and we’ll stay here as long as it takes.” The thought of a foreign force oppressing myself, family and everyone around me is terrifying, and I’m assuming many people (especially militia groups and the like) would not stand for it, and act out, thus becoming “terrorists” in the oppressors eyes.
Anywho, don’t label me a turncoat or anything, I just figured everyone should realize that reality is not a matter of fact, it’s a matter of perspective.
