I just can’t believe the defense is requesting the word “animal” to be further defined. Humans are animals too, so would that mean that wakes and funerals would be good places to pick up an easy date?
Playing devil’s advocate however, he did do a public service by removing the deer from the road and into the woods, possibly preventing an accident.
