I’m officially unhip to the music scene now; here’s my reasons:
1) The other day I realize how much I’m telling my daughters to “turn their music down”.
2) About 50% of the time when someone comes into the store and asks for a specific band T-shirt, I have never heard of it.
3) My daughters have “ruined” several bands for me by playing the same 2 or 3 songs over, and over, and over… bands that I really liked, such as Disturbed, Mindless Self Indulgence, and I.C.P.
I find myself listening to techno at an alarmingly increased rate, because I know they can’t stand it. At least I know my 80’s and 90’s music is still safe from them. Those dang kids and their blasted rock and roll music…
